Fiberglass is really useful due to its high surface to weight ratio. Mixed with a polymer resin it becomes a fantastic composite material used for many applications.
Glass fiber is used to create light and strong structures, such as body parts for racing cars, pools, or others. A lot of boards use fiberglass in their structure.
In contrast to carbon fiber, glass fiber is heavier but can support greater elongation before it breaks.
